Since I have received the grant, I have found a wonderful new job and have started the process necessary to be able to go back to school in the fall. I owe much of who I’ve become to WWIN. At a time in my life when I needed a little extra help, WWIN was there.

New Executive Director  to Lead WWIN!

Welcome Michelle Nitz!

Greetings to our WWIN community,

We are thrilled to announce that Michelle Nitz has accepted our offer to join Washington Women In Need as our new Executive Director!      
 
Michelle joins WWIN with eighteen years of management experience in the non-profit and health care sectors, with unique expertise with health-related non-profit organizations.  She served as the Executive Director of Strategic Planning and Ventures for Overlake Hospital Medical Center and has a wealth of experience with operational management and strategic  planning.  For the past eight years she has worked in the non-profit arena in some very impressive Founding or Interim Executive Director roles, including work for the Susan G. Komen Foundation, American Diabetes Association, and as the founding Executive Director for the Science and Management of Addictions (SAMA) and Schools for Spectrum Foundation. Michelle holds a Bachelors of Science Degree from University of Cincinnati, and a Masters in Health Services Administration from Xavier University.
 
We are thrilled to have  Michelle join us and are confident we have identified the best person to lead WWIN into our next stage of growth and transition.
